I recently got a call from a struggling network marketer named Terry. Her up-line, Michelle, a recent graduate of my Social Media Marketing Mastery course, insisted that Terry call me.

Since taking the course, Michelle has been knocking it out of the park. She is using
Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to connect, communicate and close business builders into
her network marketing business.

 


 

Michelle has become an overnight success story that is shared throughout the
network marketing company whose products and business opportunity she promotes.

I was eager to help Terry, I figured that if Michelle recommended her to me, she was
someone who was smart, ambitious and ready to make her Network Marketing dreams a
reality.

 

But to my surprise the first thing out of Terry’s mouth was, “Max, I know that Michelle is
having phenomenal results using Facebook, but network marketing is not meant to be done on
the internet. It’s about people talking to people and connecting.”

I was speechless, I just couldn’t understand.

Here, her up-line was living proof that using social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn
and Twitter help network marketers recruit on average ONE NEW ASSOCIATE A DAY. The
founders of the network marketing company they both belong to sang Michelle praises on the
recent company training call and they basically told the entire associate base, including Terry,
that Michelle was someone to emulate.

WITH ALL THAT PROOF Terry still couldn’t make the connection between Facebook,
LinkedIn and Twitter and her Network Marketing Success. Why so?

WHY DO SOME NETWORK MARKETERS STILL DON’T GET IT?

It wasn’t until days after the conversation that it dawned on me that there are millions
of networkers just like Terry who are not making the powerful connection in building a
massive network marketing business and sites like Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter.

I decided that I had to take a more deliberate stand and Educate and Empower

Network Marketers who just don’t get it.

For me, it’s a no-brainer, or maybe I have just been doing it way too long with too
many success stories to really be able to grasp unfortunate ignorance (Just so you know, I
mean this with the utmost respect and in no way am I belittling anyone) with most
networkers.

As of today, I have helped 10s of 1000s of network marketers connect, communicate
and close using social media.

My story of helping network marketer use social media started back in the early days of
AOL and IRC. Back then it wasn’t called Social Media like it’s called today. It was called relay
chatting and buzz campaigns in chatrooms

Actually before I became a mentor to network marketers, I was one myself.

I used the early social networking features that are now ubiquitous on Facebook to build
a Network Marketing organization of 7000 within X time (to learn more about me go here).

Social networking did not start with Facebook. Nor is it something new.

This is what people don’t realize. The concept of networking has been there for a long
time, but Facebook, LinkedIN, and Twitter have taken it to a totally different level. No one is
talking about AOL anymore. I think I am the only person who still has an AOL email account!
The truth of the matter is: Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter are using old, fundamental concepts
in new, cutting-edge technology to connect 1.2 BILLION people online. Exciting times! Are you

Let’s take a close look at Coca-Cola, BMW and Starbucks so that you can begin to grasp what
opportunities lay before you.

So what are a few things that they have in common?

  • They are all Multi-Mega Million Dollar Corporation
  • They are international brands that are well known throughout the globe.
  • The way they got to their stature was by being hungry, strategic and fearlessly
    competitive.
  • They hire the smartest minds on Madison Avenue, to do the marketing for them, predict
    how to use the latest technology to their marketing advantage, and predict and use current
    systems to set them up for explosive opportunities in the future.

How are they complete opposites from the average network marketer?

Unlike the average Joe, they spend millions of dollars running panel discussions and
focus groups, do market testing around the clock. All with two main questions on their mind:

You might be thinking… FREE?
Yes that is what I said. They are marketing on the Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter’s platform for
zinch, zilch, zero absolutely 100% FREE.
But just because it’s FREE doesn’t mean that they are taking a passive approach to their
marketing on these social media sites. No they are being strategic! Their Facebook profiles
are:
As of this writing Coca-Cola has 29,500,000 of friends (fans?) who liked their Facebook
page.
BMW has 9,617,429 of friends who liked their Facebook page.

Starbucks has 29,570,379 of friends who liked Facebook page. (these will all be pop-up to the
page)

If you don’t understand what Like is, it’s simply when a visitor clicks the {Like Button}on
a Facebook Fan page. When they hit Like they are simply saying, I know you, I like you, I trust
you, keep following up with me and I will visit your page in the future to find out what you are
up to.

But don’t think for a minute that they created a Facebook profile to just let it sit there
collecting dust waiting for visitors to stumble upon it. They have mastered a simple yet
powerful process that you too will soon have a choice in mastering. I call it the 3 Cs to social
media mastery.

be Coca-Cola, BMW or Starbucks to be successful on Facebook. But it’s not just registering and
opening a Facebook page. You can’t have the attitude “I will open one and network marketing

summit in your network marketing biz. Everyday Facebook, Starbucks, and BMW are active in
their social media marketing effort.

Like Tony Robbins says, “If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the
results you want and copy what they do and you’ll achieve the same results.”

Now you can model exactly what they do, and I will teach you. The wonderful thing is
that you will get endless free leads forever, and it will cost you the same thing it cost them…
Zip, Zilch Zero.

FACEBOOK + NETWORK MARKETING = MIND BLOWING SUCCESS

Think for a minute why network marketing is one of the most effective ways to bring
a new product to market.

It’s based on relationships. Think about the best relationships you have. They are
engaging. You are excited to be open and speaking to the person who values you and shows a
genuine interest in you.

Contrast that with what happens when you go to a retail store and the clerk comes
up to you and says, “Hello, how can I help you.”

Instinctually you quickly say, “No thanks I am just looking.” You get this instinctual
feeling like fleeing. You want to be left alone and you feel that the sales clerk is trying to
grab your wallet and pull as much money as possible out of it. So you quickly defend
yourself.

You want to make sure that this clerk doesn’t get you to commit into your spending
money. And like your future product, service buyers and business builders you want to recruit
into your network marketing business you are leery, you have learned that every marketer and
markting message out there is set up for you to spend money and get you to commit to give of
your time for someone else’s goals.

You learned to shut them out!

And even to sometimes lie, so that you can hold on to your hard-earned cash and save
your scarce time.

However, what happens when you are out with a friend who you have a history
of engaging conversation and you feel like that person really has your best interests?

You are happy to talk to them. You are eager to catch up with their latest happenings.

When they tell you about the latest and greatest gizmo they are using, you want them to tell
you more. You are open to discuss the benefits and set free any objections you may have. The
conversation is more like, “Really… well tell me more.”

The trust is already established through the history (and it can be a short history)
because of the engagement that has taken place in the past.

The key to network marketing are relationships that you build over time. Unlike the
unknown money hungry marketer, who shout out “Look at me look at me! Buy me buy me!”
and who never take the time to build relationship.

You may be saying to me, “Max I know that, that is at the very foundation of network
marketing. The forefathers of network marketing understood that principle. That is why it’s
been around for decades and will continue to be around for 1000s of years to come.”
And you are probably shouting right now, “Max tell me something new”.

You asked for it so here you go, YOU DON’T HAVE TO BUILD ENGAGING, TRUSTING
AND WORTHWHILE RELATIONSHIP THE OLD WAY, COMMUNICATING ONE ON ONE AND
SPENDING MONTHS AND YEARS ESTABLISHING THEM.

YOU CAN NOW USE FACEBOOK, LINKEDIN AND TWITTER TO CONNECT, COMMUNICATE
AND CLOSE BUSINESS BUILDERS (ONE A DAY, EVERYDAY) INTO YOUR NETWORK MARKETING
BIZ.

Facebook is all about building friendship with many many many people all at the same
time in a fraction of the time that it would take you to build them in person.

BTW, most network marketers who haven’t taken my course, they go on facebook and
they start blasting message that are “Me! Me! Me!” sales messages.

THEY JUST DON’T GET IT! And they quickly find that people are unfriending( this is a new
Facebook term that means that you are blocked from communication). Later I will tell you
about how you are going to be able to communicate with friends of friends too. This is warm
marketing on steroids.

Let’s go back to relationship building on Facebook.

One of Facebook’s missions is build more solid relationships and help more people stay
connected.Think about it, relationships are built over time. It requires that both parties share
personal experiences, laughter and havegenuine interest on each other.Facebook give people a
platform which allows these relationships to easily flourish. And when you learn to effectively
use it, you will notice that every update, every picture you post will have you creating deep
meaningful relationship with many people at once. This is the real power. It’s building
friendships on steroids.

As a network marketer, embracing these dynamic principles could be powerful for
your business. Terry, the woman I told you about early was right. Network marketing is
about the connection that people have that have to be built and not expected.

But what she missed completely is that those friendships and connections can happen on
social media sites and that they could happen one on many. And don’t have to take years to
build one on one. What she didn’t understand is that Facebook is a tool which if used right can
make a network marketer grow their business at an explosive pace.

Social Media Marketing is HOT!
Traditional Advertising is NOT!

Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter and social media in general have turned Madison Avenue
upside down. The traditional way of pushing your ideas, products and service is not as effective
as it once was.
Before I continue I want to make sure we are on the same page, I want you to rethink
what social media is as it pertains to you and me.

Let’s break down the word, MEDIA. Media is any tool of
communication, as radio and television, newspapers, and
magazines, that reach or influence people widely.

Take for example, news media. Years ago, the power of news was held in a small
number of hands. The people who spread news where either giant news station CNN, CNBC,
NBC, newspapers, NY Times, Wall Street Journal, and TV Show Host, Oprah, David
Letterman.
Social Media has changed all of that. Now everyone, yes including you, have become
news organization. The day you open a Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter account, you are
now in the position to be in the business of spreading news to everyone that is part of your
network. That is why it is social. You are connecting with your social market. You are sharing
updated information, you are sharing news.
Marketing, however, is not just sharing information. Companies who are doing it right
are doing what network marketers have done for years. They are building relationships. They
understand that it is no longer effective to push messages down people’s throats, they will
have to engage and be friendly and build relationships.
If you watch the latest segment of Larry King Live, or Anderson Cooper or can remember
any of Oprah episode, you will realize that the new marketing form of keeping viewers is
byconsistently persuading us to share on their Facebook and Twitter pages. Why? Because
they know that Social Media changed the marketing game. It’s no longer about who comes up
with the catchy slogan or brags about themselves. They realize that marketing of today requires
that they engage, befriend and build long term relationships with their viewers.

See for yourself, tonight I want you to turn on any news channel, and count how many
times you hear the broadcaster say, “We want to hear your opinion, we want you to engage
with us so go to our Facebook page at…. go to our twitter page at…. and tell us what you think.
We want to hear from you.” What are they doing? They are actually saving their networks from
going out of business. They understand that if they don’t get with the times, and start engaging
their viewers they are going to lose them.

People since the dawn of civilization want to be heard. And finally there are media that
allow them to do just that. The stone age of push marketing is dead and gone.

We network marketers are pros in understanding relationship marketing. At the very
root of Network Marketing is what everyone has just woken up to and figured out.

But what many of us don’t still understand, and it’s a crying shame, is that we don’t have
to do it one on one. That we don’t have to build a list and call our friends and family,spend 3
hours per night for months calling each person once, twice, three even four times in the hopes
that we would say the right thing that will persuade them. And worst of all that we don’t have
to give the marketing message to one person at a time. With the stroke of the key board you
can engage, friends and build long term messages, all of them in a nano-second. And when you
properly set up your account and build good will, in a sweeping second you can give your
network marketing message to your entire network.

Earlier I mentioned Starbucks, Coca-Cola or BMW and how they had millions of people
who have “liked” their page. I also said that they didn’t magically appear, it was strategic. It
wasn’t just building a Facebook page and people were going to flock to it. Just because they
use the product and like the product they will not just spend time on a social media site. The
page must excite them and feel like they are getting something of value.

But what is more important is that YOU CAN DO IT TOO.

These companies have Madison Avenue who are whispering in their ears what they
should do next. It’s there for you to see. But unfortunately most network marketers donʼt
know what they should be looking for.

You have me, Max Steingart. I am here to open your eyes to how to do exactly what they
are doing.

same advantages as these big companies so you too can use social media.

But I do it with a twist.

Social Media Marketing Mastery for Network Marketers

Most people that I personally train tell me time and again, “Max I love your system,
because it allows me to have what I came to network marketing for, time freedom. I don’t have
to work night and day, learning a back office system, become a copy writer. I just work 50
minutes a day and systematically I am growing my Facebook friends and building a relationship
where I get to pick the people that I want to work with. I don’t have to beg and I don’t allow
downers and whiners into my business.

The skinny refers to all that you need without the technical mumbo jumbo that
sounds good but does nothing to grow your business.

Now this is a big statement. “Save my life,” you may be thinking. Well, let me explain. I am
referring to you as the network marketer. The part of you who wants to be out of the 9-5
routine and that got into network marketing to have a life.

There are many companies from yesterday that are not around today. Why? Because
they didn’t get with the times, in time. They waited until it was too late. There are businesses
that waited too long to jump on board with new technologies and someone else who was
awake to what had changed came along and ate their cookies. One business that is not totally
gone but had serious problems and had to restructure how it generated revenue has been the
recording business. When Napster and similar sites came along they didn’t pay attention. They
ignored it. For a while the industry was in serious trouble. Just imagine where it would be if I
woke up and smelled the coffee sooner. They would have capitalized instead of loss the
billions of dollars they did.
Let’s take another industry. Amazon saw the power of the internet and it decided to
build a book retailer business that is as big as the river it is named after. Borders is no longer in
business. And we will see how Barnes and Nobles continues to fight the good fight to keeps its
retail locations open. There are so many businesses that are just not around: Circuit City,
Mervyn’s Department Store, Blockbuster Inc, to name a few.
Companies like Starbucks, Coca-Cola, and BMW get it. Do you?

Just like Terry there are many network marketers who still think that the best way, to build
their network marketing is by building a list and calling their friends and family, or worst yet by
buying a list of strangers who don’t know them or like them or trust them. Don’t get me wrong,
this way of building a business has worked in the past. But it takes a long time. And worst yet
it’s full of rejection. My system will eliminate rejection by 100%. You will never be rejected
again!

The old way of calling friends and family just isnʼt effective. The thought that itʼs traditional
it has worked for decades, is just plain wrong. It has you burned through their list of warm
market.

With my system, you will learn not only to effectively take your warm market list and put it
on line. The bonus I will mention below will start your Facebook marketing campaign with
100s of warm markets on the first day. You will be able to reach out to your warm market,
but how to increase your warm market and then to increase it again. How? The technology
